Unveil the Magic of London in Just a Few Hours!

30 April 2021

Many travelers have recently been asking me how to see London in a day or even a few hours. This request has become especially popular due to the active development of cruise tours. While in the past I might have said it's nearly impossible, now I would say that yes, it's possible to catch a glimpse of London in a few hours, but not to truly know and understand it. So, don't set unrealistic expectations to avoid disappointment from this magically alluring city. Instead, prepare yourself for super active movement and maximum concentration. Because...

London is not about contemplating beauty. London is about moving forward actively!

So, if you have a few hours for London, head straight to the southern bank of the River Thames in the Lambeth area, to the London Eye attraction! There are options for those who want to 'see London in a few hours.'

"The London Eye" - the poetic name of the grand Ferris wheel located on the Thames River's bank, across from the Houses of Parliament and at the end of Westminster Bridge. Going up to a height equivalent to a 45-story building (135 meters), you'll be able to see practically all of London's districts and famous landmarks nearby: Jubilee Gardens Park, Big Ben, Westminster Abbey. The wheel completes a full rotation in 30 minutes. This allows everyone in the cabins to enjoy the magnificent view of London from a bird's-eye perspective. On sunny days, you can see the city up to 40 kilometers away. And from the top of the London Eye, you can even spot Windsor (which, by the way, is an hour's drive away). That's why the London Eye is referred to as a 'guide to London.'

If you've taken a ride on the London Eye, then you've accomplished at least the minimum London program.

If you have more time, head to Downing Street, then to the National Gallery, and afterward to Chinatown. From there, you can walk to Covent Garden. This stroll will take about 30 minutes.
